1) a chicken raised on pasture out the sun from a local family organic farm or
2) 20 lbs. of vegetables grown on a commercial farm with depleted soil, sprayed with pesticides, and who don’t treat their workers fairly?
this question is primarily for veg/vegans.
That’s easy….#1!
The first one. . .chicken is good
chicken…here chicky chicky chick……
chicken is way better so chicken, id make some chicke fajitas
The chicken raised on pasture. Definitely. Because even if it is chicken, it’s much healthier than toxin-drenched vegetables. Especially when it’s organic.
both, i like veggies with my chicken.
#2 because I’m deathly allergic to chicken. When I eat it, my lips, tongue and throat swells up, and I can’t breathe.
#1 of course
it wouldn’t matter to me
The chicken? You are a little unclear, Sorry.
I’d go with #2. Reason being, these workers can always get new jobs, where, hopefully, they can be treated with some dignity and respect. At least no lives would be lost.
the chicken….hands down!
I obvously choose 2 repeatedly without even knowing it. I buy my stuff at regular store. I can’t afford organic. And I don’t eat chicken.
The first one, chicken… yummy!
Of course the chicken.
Organic free-range chicken. I prefer buying my veggies from Whole Foods whenever possible!
Of course, I’m a happy omnivore.
I want chicken stew just throw them both together
The chicken! I know some very good recipes for chicken! Yummmmmmy! I don’t like to eat veggies much.
That’s easy the chicken.
1)
but this is a loaded question.
Weird question, it made me think if it’s a trick.
Of course, I’ll choose #1 as I don’t like vegetables anyway.
definitely the chicken…not a very hard choice for me since i eat meat…this might be a tougher choice for a vegan or vegetarian.
Is the chicken dead or alive? Cooked or uncooked?
If the chicken was cooked, than I’d pick #1. If not, then I’d eat #2
The Chicken is good which has a lot of protein……..
I would tottally pick nuba 1. because if I was stranded I wouldn;t want to eat somtin with pesticides because personally I think they can do alot o damage to your systom. but on the other hand the chicken gives you lots of protein that is valuble to your health and maybe u coukd do somtin with the chicken feathers like ya know?
the chicken- i’m vegetarian but only for four years- and i’m not that strict i’ve had like chicken broth and stuff knowingly before. And so are you saying we shouldn’t eat vegetables because that’s how many of them are grown? Let me tell you the VAST majority of chickens aren’t grown in a sunny happy environment. Their raised in mass production farms where they’re pumped with hormones to make them produce more muscle and are kept in cages where they can’t move so they stay tender. Don’t even get me started about eggs- i only buy free range now. I find that to be alot more offensive than spraying vegetables with pesticides and supposed workers not being treated nicely. Anyway where I live there’s lots of famer’s markets and small family farms- they don’t use harsh pesticides and they raise all the veggies themselves. Too bad there’s not too many of those anymore.
Neither. And when a chicken farm comes along that raises them humanely, not cramped in small cages, not pumped full of hormones, not de-beaked, etc you let me know. Because as of right now, none exsist. And I purchase all of my veggies from organic farmers, most of them are local.
I don’t think I would want either one.
sushi
and can someone play MSN with me ?
my email address is
If it were a question of sheer calories etc.–life or death for me, it has to be #2. Always. Regardless of your feelings and ethical standards.
I would eat the chicken.
I would not end up in in a situation to have to buy chemically grown veggies. I grow my own organic vegetables
thats a good moral question. i would eat the chicken. if the veg farm was organic and paid fair wages i would eat the vegies but since its not, social justice outweighs health
most veggies are from places like that lol, unless they’re labeled otherwise…
i suppose this is a great question because it will instantly indicate your reason for being a vegetarian/vegan. if you’re veggie for health reasons, you’ll eat the chicken in a heartbeat. if it’s for moral reasons, you won’t think twice about eating the veggies. of course, the chances of actually being in that situation are slim, and if it did happen, i wouldn’t eat either.
if that question was asked with genuine curiosity, good job. if it was just to taunt vegetarians/vegans…kinda lame. i’m guessing the former lol
ok…this ones painful….
# 1
the chicken of course
the chicken, I am firm believer that we should eat meat that comes from places such as you have described, it has had a happy life and been treated well so no wonder they taste so good. I bought a chicken once from a supermarket that had a big bruise on the breast bone and the bone was shattered, it had obviously been kicked in the chest so hard the bone broke and it was still alive when the injury happened as it would not have bruised otherwise. What a terrible way for a bird to end it’s life, scared and in pain. I will never buy those mass-produced chicken ever again.
Tofu raised by chickens eating pesticides.
I’d rather not eat either. My stomach can’t handle meat or chemically sprayed veggies. Looks like I’d just die!
