grow organic vegetables
茶 ŘǺŴ ΡσώΣŖ 茶 asked:

OK, here’s my biff..
ALWAYS being told organic is better, necessary, the greatest!
Well, I can’t always get organic and pre packaged food TASTES better then commercial food, and if everyone is making out that commerical vegetables aren’t that great, why shouldn’t I go with the pre packaged?

Like spinach, I cannot get organic spinach, period. I can only get loaly grown commercial spinach. On youtube and on raw chat sites I’m told that’s not good enough or there abouts…
So why bother??
Why not just eat the packet of dried nori that I prefer so much instead??
So, what should I do??

THANKS!
290/225?!?!?!?!?!
That’s crazy!

Eating organic food is better for your health and for the community, but commercial food is often cheaper, more convenient and has often been altered to taste and look better than its organic counterparts. I think you should definitely keep eating organic vegetables, but if you prefer the taste and convenience of commercial vegetables then there’s nothing that stops you from changing. The best thing to do is probably to compromise and find a balance between commercial and organic that suits you.

it’s rare it’s organic these days.. even seeds are produced and enhanced…

i grow my own often and even when my seeds are from my own produce it’s still far from organic because of the seed element.

i get produce from my grocer, again it’s not really organic any more when you think of what organic really is: untampered by modification, chemical….

when you get seeds they’re modified…

it’s enough… trust me on this.

when i converted to veganism… my blood chemistry improved dramatically.

and if it wasn’t for my veganism i would have been dead 7 years now. i have a very chronic disorder i inherited of malignant hypertension.. it’s devistating but because of my veganism i survived…. i have to live with taking maintenance medications and the like.. but my diet is a huge help.

doctors were astonished i lived through my ‘attack’ and my body was taxed beyond belief…. my eyes were bruised so bad by the ‘pressure venting’ and i lost my vision for a week… my hospital stay was 2 weeks and didn’t take long to control my violently high blood pressure..

they contributed that to my strict diet.

thus, they insisted i stick to that diet and take my meds.

they expected nothing from me until it was revealed why i was hanging on so well after so much damage from a pressure reading of 290/225 for so many years.
:D
wish i didn’t have this disorder…. but i do.. oh well.

but my veganism is the foundation to keeping this terrible disease in control… they always say.. a good diet, take the required medications and a good exercise regiment.

so it’s enough… believe me.
