I would have to say Kitsilano or Kits’ as it’s referred to and from experience I have to say it’s been quite liberal to use your own words since the 60’s *S*!

The only food co-op I know of is on Commercial drive.. That’s also the
area of town where even people who don’t have space for a garden
have plants on their balconies and such, it is a pretty liberal area..
more so than Schizilano.
Commercial drive, or the drive is what you are looking for.
