grow organic vegetables
Magda L asked:

I hear a lot about eating organic fruits and vegetables during pregnancy. I actually have tiny organic garden in my backyard. My only concern is that my lot is located in town and I am not sure how pollution affects my vegetables. Are those veggies safe for my growing baby?

Yes, they are perfectly fine. Like with any vegetable, make sure you wash it thoroughly before eating it.

there are chemicals everywhere and the air is polluted that we breath, your vegetables are safer than ones you would buy in the store. the store veggies have alot of pestisides.

I would sure hope so, I have been growing my own tomato plant this year, along with jalapenos and green peppers. I haven’t used any chemicals on them at all, Just plain water! I can’t wait to have fresh ripe tomato’s and fried green tomato’s!

yes, they are perfectly safe. Probably safer than what you can get at the store. Just be sure to wash them really good before eating them.

Yes, they are fine to eat. Plants need the carbon dioxide, so it is not harming them at all. Just clean them before eating just in case and enjoy!

Yes as long as you don’t use any chemicals, and check to see if there is any way they could come into contact with them.

Of course they are safe. Do you think that vegetables grown in the store are grown in a plastic bubble? There are pollutants everywhere, and unless your house was built on a toxic waste dump, your home grown veggies are fine.
