grow organic vegetables
jbrandtc asked:

We have a Saturday Market nearby that offers home grown fruits and vegetables (organic, too), fresh breads, and many types of handmade crafts, soaps and baskets.

The Market is only available in summer, so we go as often as possible to enjoy the season. How about you?

We have one here but it’s all the way downtown and parking is a nightmare. We love to go when we can get up early and get down there before the crowds.

I use to go to them but abroad right now. I would definately go as you always get fresh veggies and it always has a nice atmosphere too.

Yes, we have one nearby every Saturday - mostly fruit and veg (and nasty clothes and housewares all made in China). I always go on foot as it keeps me from buying too much stuff. Just got back!

I live in southern New Mexico so our weather permits us to have a Saturday Farmer’s Market every weekend and, yes, they sell locally grown produce, handmade crafts, soaps, ear candles, breads and pastries, all kinds of stuff. I like to go buy the handmade gourmet dog treats for my baby dog.

The woman that sells the dog treats has her dog with her, a little Pomeranian that she rescued from a trash dumpster! She was at a convenience store and heard whimpering coming from the trash dumpster so she went to investigate and found her Pomeranian, a pup at the time, plus a dead dog. She rescued the pup and has had it ever since. It worships her. You can tell she adores her dog, too! It warms my heart just to see them and I am happy to help her support her baby dog by buying treats for mine from her.

We have Saturday and Sunday markets all year round here and I love them! A veritable smorgasboard of tid-bits and knick-knacks. There are lots to choose from - some have a lot of second hand things, and some have lots of craft. They all have the lovely fresh produce as well. Home made edibles, and innovative inventions and products. My favourite is the Eumundi markets, which are quite famous! They’re huge and have just about everything! It’s so popular, they hold it on a Wednesday as well. ♥
