grow organic vegetables
kathy_maybe asked:

At twice the price what is the value of organic grown foods and who actually oversees the process. We buy produce from Mexico, South America, etc. but who actually checks them?

My brother works for a very large fruit company. He’s told me they unload a cargo ship of fruit. It gets to the warehouse and they take part of it as organic and the rest is shipped as normal. It all comes from the same pallet. He said they know when the inspectors are going to be there and they make it look like there were two shipments.

Prob is Kathy, that there’s not enough inspectors for one thing, secondly the organic laws change faster then people think. Thirdly, inspectors are known to look in the other direction. I’ve unloaded containers of imported cheese right in front of them and they have no clue as to what’s legal and what’s not. Poorly trained and understaffed.

Case in point.
Wild Salmon ( rich in Omega 3 ) is twice the price of farm raised.
A company investigating if stores were indeed selling the real McCoy bought wild salmon from several different stores to see if it was really wild.
More then half was farmed raised was colored to look like wild( Whole Foods was one of the companies that was caught) although they blammed the vendor ( could be they’re telling the truth here).

In the beginning, organic farmers weren’t getting enough yield out of there crops due to not spraying. Then the FDA allowed them to use one chemical, then another.

Whats real and what’s not?
You tell me?

You know I was with Whole Foods for years.
I’ve seen alot of bunk.

I never bought anything from Whole Paycheck and never will.
Total rip off. Even when I had a 20% discount all I bought was canned tuna for my cat’s.

I’ll buy conventional at half the price and live 2 minutes less.
Let the masses of asses pay through the nose for something that they really don’t know is organic ( certified sticker and all).
It’s all baloney.
