organic gardening tips
keina_x asked:

My 13 month old doesn’t eat his Gerber puree’s anymore. He has gotten so used to eating the food I make. Real food. LOL! I have several of the jars and boxes of puree’s, but I don’t want them to go to waste. Any idea’s on how to mix them in with what I cook. Someone gave me a tip to use the carrot puree in the spaghetti sauce. He loved it. Does anyone have any other ideas like that. The left over jar food/puree’s I have are:
*Organic Banana
*DHA Banana Peach
*Peas
*Carrots
*Turkey Rice
*Garden Veggie
*Beef Veggie
*Chicken dinner

I have tried mixing it into his Gerber cereal, but he won’t eat it like that either, he only like’s his cereal mixed with his milk. Thanks so much!
He does eat food now. But I just thought people would have tips. It’s not gross to mix it, so don’t know why someone said ew. Couldn’t even taste the carrots in the speghetti. I’d donate them, but like I said just though someone would have some good tips.

Ew. lol.

I am not sure.

Do you have a friend you could give them to?

Why don’t you donate them to your local food pantry.

I don’t have any suggestions on what to mix them with.. but maybe you could donate them to someone you know or a food pantry.

I’m with Danielle…

Either donate them to a friend or try selling them on Craigslist. Really, though, I doubt you’ll be out that much money since those jars don’t cost a whole lot!

A 13 month old doesn’t need pureed or jarred foods anyway. He should be eating finger foods by now.

You can mix carrots with mac and cheese also. Rice a roni works too for most of them, pretty much any thing with a strong flavor.

You can mix the fruit in with regular oatmeal, baked goods like cookies cakes or muffins and even in pancake batter.
The others can be thrown into a meatloaf or meatballs or veggie bakes or casseroles.
You can donate any you don’t use to a church group, food pantry or womens shelter.

You can mix the fruit in with pancakes, muffins, breads, or cookies :) The rest might be good in a soup or a stew
