organic gardening
user122700 asked:

I thought it was in reference to the Victory Gardens that my Great-Grandma used to talk about… or maybe to encourage organic farming on a national level. Now I’m being told that I am a racist because I liked the idea of ending a silly childish tradition like an Easter Egg hunt in favor of a symbolic national garden with organic fruit and veggies? I don’t get it?

I think you are making this up in an attempt to get some attention!

people would say you are racist because it seems to be that alot of people tend to say that most black people like watermelon and putting a picture of the watermelon in front of the white house would somehow be racist because of obama being in there

lol the president is black! One of the many stereotypes of a black man is they like fried chicken collard greens corn bread and watermelon! i get your point though people are ignorant, they just want a racist issue to freak out about~

It’s not, not unless they put a picture of KFC with it. Now that might be a different story lol.

everything is seen as offensive and racist by some people

it seems some people see racism everywhere

these complainers are probably racists themselves to see racism in everyone else

Because of the stereotype of black people liking watermelon. Stupid isn’t it that people are soooo very sensitive about childish things like that?

i hadnt realised that black people are related to watermelon, i had never heard this until reading the answers

Its not a reference to anyone’s Victory Garden. It IS a
common (!) simple slur meant to call to mind hurtful and offensive stereotypes. Some pretend that any humor, no matter how cruel is justifiable and harmless (as long as it is directed at someone else).

Your watermelon question is not as offensive to me as is your blatant attempt to get attention and stir up trouble.

Are you too young to see how pathetic and immature that is?
