It’s an organic compound because it’s carbon-based, but that may not be acceptable if you’re trying to grow an organic garden. Find out where this stuff comes from — if it’s sourced from plants or animals, you’re probably good to go; if it’s synthetically produced (which the name sethoxydim tends to suggest), it’s probably not okay for an organic garden. Same goes for malathion.
Remember, DDT, roundup and dioxins are all organic compounds but are not acceptable for organic gardens! Search around online for pesticide and herbicide solutions for organic gardens.
Good luck!
