And would an absence of death of every type also mean that sin HAD to come eventually so that death could allow the planet to recycle organic materials?
It was called the Miller-Urey Experiment. First various simple chambers were filled with water, ammonia, methane and hydrogen (4 of the most prevalent elements in early Earth), then one chamber of water was evaporated off, therefore firing sparks between two electrodes (simulating the intense electrical storms of early Earth). After only 1 week, 10-15% of the organic carbon molecules had turned into organic compounds including sugars, lipids and the amino acids used to make DNA.
Mind, in order to believe that the experiment was accurate, you have to believe that the conditions of early Earth were those of intense volcanic activity and electrical storms, rather than the garden of Adam and Eve.
Actually I just used the word organic because that’s what the molecules are called. I wasn’t trying to confuse anybody. They’re called organic compounds! How much more clear can you get?
I wasn’t trying to disprove God at all. I was simply trying to fill in some evolutionary knowledge gaps that many Creationists seem to be missing.
1. What is your religion, if it can be defined?
2. Do you feel a spiritual connection to Nature?
3. Do you celebrate the passing seasons?
4. Do your celebrations involve cooking foods?
5. Do your celebrations involve making crafts?
6. Do you place importance conservation, recycling or environmentalism?
7. Have you spent time in forests or parks specifically for spiritual reasons?
8. Have you made any lifestyle changes, such as vegetarianism or organic gardening/eating as a result of your religious beliefs?
9. Do you grow any of your own food?
10. Does your faith have an effect on your decision about where to live? ie: closer to other pagans, or maybe further into the country?
GREAT SUCCESS!
And even if you assume that all of us believer and non believer alike are equally good the atheist will always be 1.2% more effective than he who wastes his time worshipping a fairy tale.
