I’m a middle of the road, I have 50% beliefs of one and 50% of the other. I’m going to meet my future mother in law next weekend and she’s Republican and upper crust at that. Owns an estate in the Hamptons a mansion in the valley. Oh and her staff? She calls them servants! They still do do that in 2009?!? I had no idea!
Problem is I eat only organic foods due to severe chemical allergies that can send me to the ER if I eat the wrong chemical/food additive. I’m on a very strict diet since 2006. I thought since those people are so rich they would buy only organic foods, right? But then I see Martha Stewart and all the wrong foods she eats (wrong for me I mean, sorry).
Anyway are there any Republicans that shop at Whole Foods? I have to spend 2 weeks in the house of my future in laws I know I should discuss it with my fiance but he’s been so busy I haven’t been able to bring myself to.
I was curious: any Republicans on here eat organic foods or is it all Democrats fare?

The oil spill is a enormous disaster that will hurt for decades. I HATE it!
I live 4 hours from the Gulf coast and we go there every year.
I given donations to several environmental groups many times over the past 30 years, including just last week.
I shop at the Farmers Market every Saturday AM
most days we shop at Sprouts.
I do not use pesticides and have an organic lawn and garden.
Still, I work 60 hours a week because it takes 2 jobs to get by after the mass layoff from the place I worked 10 years,. All the work was shipped outside the USA.
I know lots of people out of work for a long long time.
Now the house next door has 10 to 14 people living in it
including 6-8 kids and I know several are probably not here legally. They park 3 cars on the front lawn and the place is trashed.
All the administration and the President seems interested in making sure everyone hears its not his fault, He seems to be running for re-election instead of solving problems. He obviously cannot dieviate from his script and deal with emergencies or problems
At least BP can administrate, run a large organization and actually DO something instead of posturing. At least they can employ 1000’s of people and keep a running budget.
Its time for major Change! People are hurting and IT IS NOT WORKING!

Example;
Does the White House have an organic food garden or Victory Garden on the First Lawn with the produce going to the White House kitchen and local food pantries?
Does the White House have solar energy panels?
In what way does the White House serve as a model at a time of economic and environmental crisis?
You complain about companies using pesticides to grow fruit and vegetables and force companies into making everything organic, but ignore that overall people are healthier thanks to pesticides being used because more fruit and vegetables can be produced and the poor can afford to eat them instead of just burger king.
And, your nice little organic foods spoil faster so more food is wasted.
Less is produced, more is wasted, and it costs more so less people are able to get the nutrients they need.
How is that healthier and how do you justify that?
If you can afford organic foods - great, I’m speaking for an entire class that can’t.
