My inlaws just let me pick some awesome vine ripened tomatoes in their yard..there’s hardly any seeds inside, just real meaty and unbelievably sweet..now, what can I do with them besides the usual sald and sometimes I cut it up like apples and eat them fresh..(they ARE fruit after all)..

Any recipes or serving suggestions I would appreciate and will choose a best answer I promise!!!

TIA!

We’re moving in a few days, and when we move we’re going to try and eat natural foods.
So far I have tuna, organic/raw milk, black olives, granola nut clusters (are those good?), organic chocolate, olive oil, natural juice, and sea salt.

What are some other things? I’m not talking about recipes.
I think I saw organic macaroni and cheese (packaged) is that good?

What are some other food ideas? Thank you(:
Also, is there a such thing as organic ice cream?

grow organic vegetables
caropolis asked:

We are just starting out, growing vegetables on 3 different properties (leases) and are not certified but use organic methods. We want to convey the idea of sustainability or the idea that we grow vegetables that are available for 8-9 months of the year.
In the future we may expand into poultry so don’t want to limit ourselves with a name that is too vegeableish. Thanks.
We are growing on 3 patches of land, in a large valley. It’s tricky to pin down any geological feature because of this.

grow organic vegetables
Liam asked:

Compared to Europe and even South American countries, what passes off as food in this country is food tainted with toxic chemicals, vegetables and fruits are sprayed, cows and chickens are given growth hormones and antibiotics and are not looked after very well. They are made to grow abnormally fast so that they can be slaughtered. Chicken eggs also are of a lower quality and not very healthy.

Now, organic food is available but you pay double or triple for the same thing which would cost much less in other countries.

Please read this article. If this is what it takes to fill the supermarkets with food then maybe we are going to have to find other ways to grow our food- like in a home garden. I’ve been buying organic, but I’ve heard that some (though not nearly as many) harmful chemicals are used in them as well. Maybe all of those years of eating grocery store food is the reason I’m allergic to everything, have headaches, and digestive sytem disturgbances.
cookie, i doubt it and, how old are you? If you arent at least 40, then you probably arent going to show much signs of toxicity. Did you even read the entire article?

organic food
eiramhael asked:

I enjoy eating organic when possible (and affordable) and I often buy the O Organics brand of food available at Safeway. Are there any other brands of USDA certified organic foods that are fairly affordable and widely available at major grocery stores like Safeway, Top Foods, Fred Meyer, etc.?

Please, no answers about how organic food is a scam. Also, I do shop at farmer’s markets and health food stores occasionally. I am just wondering about the major grocery stores like I said above.

Thanks!
