I’ve read it both ways and was wondering - when I’m making baby food - should I use the water I steam the vegetables and fruits with in the puree or use other water? all vegetables and fruits used are organic.
Thanks!

My 5 month old son is solely breast fed and I am looking for advice on when he does move to solids the best way to introduce foods? I really do not want to start with rice or oatmeal or bananas. I am looking more for people who puree their own vegetables to give their baby the best nutrients and organic friendly foods! Any books or websites would be helpful too! Thanks in advance!

I am looking for what could be considered the best baby formula. The best meaning the best for the baby including ingredients, recipe, quality, and taste. Also are organic formulas that claim to not contain growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics etc actually worth it. Your opinions are appreciated. Thanks

grow organic vegetables
Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄ƷAℓεx Aаяöи have my ♥ asked:

I’d like to feed my baby the freshest food possible. I want it to be homemade but also organic. Are there certain fruits and vegetables that are organic? Do I have to grow them myself?
Thanks for any info or a list of foods that you can provide. Gerber will be my last resort, not that there’s anything wrong with it though =]

Our 10.5 month old has tripled her birth weight, has been walking for weeks, and has a good solid diet of avocados, full fat yogurt, bananas, cheese toast, oatmeal, and a few organic jarred vegetables (garden vegetable, spinach, potatoes). Our doctor also allows a few ounces of whole milk per day, which our daughter takes out of a sippy cup.

Her formula intake has been reducing over the past few weeks (we thought due to her first ear infection ;( ) But, she has been on antibiotics for almost 5 days and no increase in formula intake. Is she self weaning? Is it still the ear ache.

I have no problem paying for formula, making bottles, etc…I actually enjoy the process, but she is fighting it at almost EVERY bottle.

Additionally, I will be asking my doctor about this before we make any decisions. We just want to see if anyone else has experienced this?

organic food
Koonanda asked:

I’ve been reading articles lately about how preservatives in food cause little girls to mature faster. Girls are getting breasts/their periods earlier and earlier (as early as age 7 or 8!) and it is being linked to chemicals/preservatives in a lot of food these days…

Do you feed your baby only organic food? Do you think it really makes a big difference? Or is it more for peace of mind that you do it?

I was going to make my own but I’m on WIC. WIC in CA provides a large amount of baby food organic included. What would be good organic food to get? Is it as good as it sounds? I live on small Army post. I think Gerber is the main brand. My son is almost 6 months old.
It’s free with WIC.

My baby is 4 months old. My husband accidentally bought organic baby food(applesauce) and she LOVED it! BUT a couple of my friends say if she eats organic foods as a baby she will have to keep eating it when she grows up.
