My vegetable garden is organic, and I don’t want to add chemicals, so I want to know if I should allow the grass clippings to be added to my compost.

What materials, plants, and watering mechanism would I need to do something like this in my small NY apartment?

http://www.pingmag.jp/2006/12/08/vertical-garden-the-art-of-organic-architecture/

Would be on a wall by the window.

Ideally, I’d be able to water it at the bottom and have some form of irrigation system.

The more detail and product names, the better. I intend to build it, but I don’t know where to start.

We are trying to grow an organic (not for retail) garden of veggies. Someone gave me a bottle of fish emulsion that you add to water to give the plants a healthy boost. Does this qualify for organic stuff? Thanks

organic garden: a friend brought me some watermelon seeds from vietnam. in vietnem they are in market small compared to what one sees in markets here. i live in the desert and started a small plot about 3 feet down and 6 around. ther was one that was very big at first and was told by him to pick it because it is three times what thay are vietnam. it was still not ripe. so i am letting the the rest do their thing a will wait. i used plenty of mule poop…lots to regenerate a lifeless desert ground. they are about 5 times bigger than what at the markets in vietnam and they are still growng. what is going on?

Short of constantly ripping the stuff out, does anyone have a good (organic) sollution to this plant? There seems to be morning glory that grows in between my yard and the neighbours’ yards. We all pull the stuff, but it just keeps coming back. If I miss one weekend of gardening, the stuff starts to strangle my azalias and blueberry bushes!
